From the moment you arrive at Quinta do Sanguinhal, it becomes clear that this place is special. Ana and her brother Diogo welcome their guests with great warmth to the estate, which has been in the family for four generations. As great-grandchildren of the founder Abel Pereira da Fonseca, who established the winery in 1926, they continue the tradition with a lot of passion. At the same time, the roots of winemaking on this property date back to the late 19th century.

Today, Quinta do Sanguinhal manages around 100 hectares of vineyards and stands for high-quality DOC wines as well as excellent brandies that have achieved international recognition.

A tour through Quinta do Sanguinhal is like a little journey through time. The elegant villa, the small chapel, and the historic wine cellars, where the wines mature under ideal conditions, are particularly worth seeing.

Between old walls, wooden barrels, and traditional winemaking equipment, you can feel how much craftsmanship, knowledge, and dedication goes into every single bottle. The connection between history and the present makes the visit a special experience that goes far beyond a classic wine tasting.

A special highlight is the beautiful, extensive garden of the private house. The peaceful atmosphere and the majestic old trees invite you to take a little break in the greenery.
